What Is Asbestos Scaffolding?

Asbestos scaffolding refers to the design and erection of scaffold structures that support licensed asbestos removal works.

This includes providing safe working platforms for encapsulation, containing work areas to prevent fibre release, and building the access structures required for asbestos roof sheet removal and other licensed operations. The scaffolding itself must be planned and erected with the same level of care as the removal work it supports.

Getting this wrong carries serious consequences for everyone on site. We work closely with removal contractors from the planning stage to ensure the structure meets their requirements before work begins.

The Risks of Working Near Asbestos

Asbestos fibres are invisible and odourless, exposure can happen without warning.
There’s no safe level of exposure, which is why every job is carried out by operatives who hold current asbestos awareness training. It’s not a job for a standard scaffolding contractor without the right knowledge and credentials.

Trained Operatives

Every operative holds current asbestos awareness training.

Risk Assessed

Every site is assessed for risk before work begins.

Contained Work

Containment measures stay in place throughout the job.
