Asbestos scaffolding is scaffolding designed and built to support licensed asbestos removal work.
It covers the working platforms, access routes and structures that hold up asbestos enclosures, so the removal team can work safely and asbestos fibres stay contained. Because putting up or taking down this kind of scaffold can disturb asbestos, a licensed asbestos contractor with an asbestos ancillary licence from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) must carry out the work.
