This project took place at Hethersett Academy, a modern educational facility located in Hethersett, Norwich, Norfolk. CJB Scaffolding was contracted to support the construction of a new build school building through the delivery of a full external access scaffold system. The scaffold was progressively erected as the build advanced and included multiple integrated features such as loading bays, stair access, handrails, and debris netting. The project was completed on behalf of Pentaco and is now fully delivered.

Project Overview

CJB Scaffolding played a key role in supporting the new construction of Hethersett Academy’s school building, providing a comprehensive scaffold solution designed to evolve with the build’s progression. A major challenge involved bridging a low-level roof, which required the design and installation of an internal support structure to bear the scaffold load safely.

The scaffold was raised in stages, allowing for efficient material handling and site access as the structure took shape. Loading bays and stair towers were incorporated at key points to maintain flow and safety on-site. Once the roof was completed, the scaffold was carefully dismantled lift by lift, giving clear access for window installation, façade work, and snagging.
