Eastern Foundry Lead – Sandringham Estate, Sandringham

Apr 19, '25

CJB Scaffolding was appointed to deliver a temporary roof system and full access scaffold to a wing of the prestigious Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The project, carried out on behalf of Eastern Foundry Lead (EFL), involved creating safe access to three sides of the property for the replacement of lead roofing. As a high-profile heritage site, the project required security vetting and clearance before works could begin, ensuring full compliance with estate protocols.

Project Overview

This specialist scaffolding project required a carefully coordinated solution to protect a sensitive and historically significant area of the Sandringham Estate. CJB Scaffolding erected a buttressed access scaffold system to three elevations of the wing, providing safe working access for the lead replacement team.

A temporary roof was craned into position over the structure to ensure full weather protection during the works. The use of Monoflex sheeting further enhanced the enclosure, offering protection from the elements while containing any debris during construction activity.

Due to the site’s royal significance, strict pre-works security checks were required and coordinated with estate representatives to permit access and ensure compliance with security protocols.
